Private 4 minute Interview

Interview with Judge
Interview with Judge
We take a great deal of pride in selecting our judges and is run 100% fair. This is a very important job and we take it seriously.  The judges names will be announced pageant weekend.  The judges are well rounded in all areas of the competition. The woman selected will be the best representative of all the contestants that have competed. The judging is subjective.

The interviews will be held at a location to be announced November 2, 2011. You can compete multiple times but once you win the title of Mrs. Washington America and go to Mrs. America you can’t compete again.

The contestants will be in a room with five judges for a four minute interview with each judge individually.  Once your four minutes are up you will then rotate to the next judge until you have spoken to each judge.  Some of the contestants comments after the interview have been, “That was easy.  It was like talking to a neighbor.”  It’s fun and not as stressful as you may think.  Questions that are asked come from your personal biography.  Example bios will be e-mailed to you.

Physical Fitness Competition
You will wear a one-piece swimsuit with a sarong for the physical fitness competition.  The outift looks similar to a cocktail dress.  The swimsuit and sarong can be any color or style.  A solid color looks best.  The sarong can be long or short and sheer or solid.  Shoes should be clear or the color of your skin.   Judging is 25% of your total scoring.  The scoring is determined on figure, fitness, posture, grace, elegance, beauty, and confidence.

You may wear pantyhose.  Our official pantyhose sponsor is Actsensuous.

A platform is something you do for someone or for a group that you are passionate about.  You do not have to have a platform.  It is always nice to do nice things in your community and there are many ways to do that.  Volunteering in anyway on an ongoing basis can be very rewarding.  We can help you come up with a platform for the pageant.

Hair and Make-up
Hair and makeup artists will NOT be allowed in the backstage area.  Due to space issues, we are allowing only contestants and staff in that area.  You may have your makeup artists set up in your room.

All delegates will receive one complimentary ticket for their husband.   Tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster.  Children will get a discounted rate.

Mrs. Photogenic Award
This award is not judged by the regular judges’ panel, but by a separate panel of judges. To enter, contestants must appear in at least a 1/2 page ad in the program book. These ads may be purchased by the contestant herself, or by one of her sponsors. This competition is completely optional and has no bearing on the overall competition.

All of the staff are volunteers and are involved in this program with the goal of making this event an enjoyable experience for you and your families.  Please be courteous to them, they have a very tough job making the event go smoothly.  If you need help please call the state office at 509.766.7744 or 509.750.8161 and we will get back to you.  We are here for you 7 days a week.  We want you to succeed!

You will walk away beautiful, confident and will have made friendships that will last a lifetime.  Do it because you deserve it!
