Is there a talent competition?

No.

How do I get a crown and sash?

This is the only pageant that will make you a queen the moment you sign up.  You will receive a beautiful sash, crown, personalized business and return labels once half the entrance fee is paid.  We acknowledge your beauty, intelligence, and your commitment to promote good family values. We will also offer free coaching advice along the way.  Stress free and fun.

How much does it cost to enter the pageant?

There is an entrance fee of $700.  We encourage our city and county titleholders to get sponsors to help pay for the fee.  We also send out sponsorship forms and hold workshops to help contestants get sponsors. You can also sponsor yourself. You will receive complimentary personalized business cards, Labels, official city crown and sash once half of the entrance fee deposit of $350 is received.

What is included in the cost of the entrance fee?

The entrance fee pays for free monthly workshops, t-shirts, Meals, family tickets, program book, flowers, trophies, Airfare to the national pageant, prizes, award and two nights complimentary stay.

Do I have to have pageant experience?

No. There are free workshops to help you prepare for the pageant in interview, walking, and choosing the right gown, interview suit and swimsuit. Some contestants have won on the first try with no experience while others have competed up to four years. It depends on the individual

Can I win if I have been married before?

Yes. There have been former Mrs. Washington's who have been married previously.  Entrant must be married as of the date of entry, at least 18 years of age, be a person of good moral character and be a U.S. Citizen and a resident of the state she lives in for at least six months.

Is there a height or age requirement?

No.  Contestants have ranged in heights from 5' to 6' and have been in their 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's.

What is the deadline to enter?

The deadline to enter is two months before the pageant date.

How is the pageant judged?

The pageant is judged in three categories.

Interview - 50% of the total score

You are interviewed by a panel of judges in a conference room the day before the pageant. The judges will ask you questions from a personal biography that you submit to the pagean officet. Each contestant is judged one-on-one with each judge for four minutes. There are no political or religious questions asked.  The questions come from your personal biography that you submit. Example bios will be mailed to you. Contestants have stated, "It was fun, like talking to your neighbor."  No reason to be nervous.

The next night at the theater you are judged in swimsuit and evening gown competitions.

Swimsuit   - 25% of the total score (One-piece any color or style with a sarong)

Judged on confidence and physical fitness

Evening Gown - 25% of the total score

Judged on gracefulness, style, poise and over all impression.

How are city titles awarded?

Once we receive your application, you will get a congratulations letter with your city or county title.  If there is a specific title you want and it's taken, please e-mail or call and we will help you come up with one.

Do I have to have children?

No. There have been winners who have no children.
