Preliminary to Mrs. America and Mrs. World

The concept of a pageant for the contemporary married woman was a vision made possible by television producer David Marmel in 1977.  Thirty Five years later the Mrs. America pageant is now the tradition.  Like they say, “We’re not the best because we’re the oldest; we’re the oldest because we are the best.”  Mrs. Washington America is a preliminary to Mrs. America and Mrs. World competitions.

This pageant is the most successful pageant for married women in Washington State and the only one to be televised state wide.
